Hall Rental Manager needed
Purpose of Position
The Hall Rental Manager manages the rental of the hall in support of the Constitution,
Bylaws and Policies of the Nelson District Rod and Gun Club to reduce ownership and
operating costs for the membership,
Hall Rental Manager- Club Responsibility:
Hall Rental Manager is responsible for rental income stream to the club while ensuring
health, safety and comfort of building occupants.
The HRM will manage the Hall to reduce ownership and operating costs for the
membership, without incurring undue risk, recognizing the primary function of the Hall is
for the use and enjoyment of the membership.
There is also a condition for the Club to provide assistance to local charities and non-profit
organizations to demonstrate community support. For these reasons the HRM may offer
up to a 50% reduction as a demonstration of community support by the Club.
Specifics
The HRM has to ensure the hall is booked as often as possible without double
booking or losing any opportunities. To accomplish this requires a tight control on
scheduling and a fair process to potential renters.
Ensure appropriate Hall Rental Agreements, financial transactions and insurance
requirements are completed in a timely fashion.
Arrange for hall cleaning and inspection between every hall use
Provide access for and interact as required with trades persons, inspection agencies
and suppliers
Maintain records, agreement and Treasurer information as required (rental history,
annual report, Treasurer updates/cash book, contingency fund, in kind donations)
Cell phone, laptop with external hard drive and laptop provided.
